DAV, HARDWAR offers facility of hostel only for boys of class III to class XII. Those who desire to avail the facility have to apply in written for the same. There are spacious and air conditioned dormitories and a common dining hall. Fresh and nutritious food cooked in the hostel kitchen is served. Having meals together instills fraternity and strengthens bonding among the boarders that builds a “HOME AWAY FROM HOME......................”
For all round development and for developing homely ambience every aspect of boarder's life is taken care of. Regular preparatory classes are held for the boarders for better results, healthy food is served, leisure time is utilized in healthy way of relaxation and entertainment. Resident teachers and warden look after the boarders.
Capacity: At a time 40 students can be accommodated in the hostel dormitories.
Infrastructure: The school hostel houses three spacious and fully air-conditioned dormitories furnished with a bed and a cupboard for each boarder. Study table, bed cover and cushions are provided to the boarders. We also provide laundry facilities.
Mess/Dining Hall: The boarders are served fresh and hygienic meals in the hostel dining hall four times a day that includes breakfast, lunch, milk, evening snacks and dinner. Menu is decided for different days as per the requirement and taste of the growing children.
Faculty: There are always warden and resident teachers to look after boarders in the hostel block.
Prep Timing: After the school hours the home work and revision work of the students is supervised by the subject teachers during the week. Likewise evening prep is also conducted in the adjacent class rooms under the supervision of the warden and the resident teachers.
Morning Workout: The morning activities, which are compulsory for all the boarders, are conducted in the school ground under the guidance of the warden.
Evening Games: For the good health and proper growth of the children evening games are regularly looked after by the games teachers, the warden and the resident teachers. Boarders are free to enjoy the evening games that include basketball, volleyball, football, cricket and indoor games.
Outings: Outings are an important feature of our school hostel. At regular intervals outings are planned for the students.
